Picnic at the park

My friend invited us down to Tucson to have a picnic in the park. The boys loved it and it was so nice to have some adult conversation. The weather was perfect and the boys were worn out after our adventures. Perfect day if you ask me!

This was the beautiful tree that we sat under. I could not resist take a photo. I wish we had huge trees like this in our back yard.
Jen treated me and the boys to subway

I dont know what Lavio's obsession is with me taking pictures of him drinking for daddy. But he requested that i do it again so here you go daddy!
Just chillin on a turtle, no big deal.
Vallin and Jen were having a blast while Merrick was doing some interesting dance moves.
 Merrick trying to Twerk

After the park Jen treated us again to some frozen yogurt yumminess

Jen and Lavio indulging their sweet tooth.
Vallin so awesome that he has to eat frozen yogurt with two spoons
Merrick shared his espresso and milk chocolate yogurt with mommy.

Funny story to add: While we were sitting under the tree at the park a dog walked over and started barking at us. Merrick stood up big and tall, claiming his spot, and started barking right back at the dog with same angry bark sounds. Jen and I could not stop laughing! Kids are hilarious.....especially mine ;)

For the land of the free

Its holidays like this that make me really proud of the choice my husband made to serve this country but also makes me really sad that the boys and I celebrated without him. It just makes deployments hurt a little more.
On a more positive note ....My friend Blake and his sweet wife Julie came over to spend the day with us. We had a yummy BBQ lunch that ended up being my only meal for the day. We were STUFFED! The boys mostly played outside on the slip and slide today and like an awesome mom, i forgot to take pictures (Sad face).
At one point Blake went outside to play with the kids on the slip and slide and Julie and I spied on them. He had put Vallin face down on the slip and slide and sent him flying down with his face covered in water. We could not stop laughing. I think i secretly enjoy watching people who don't have kids interact with them. It entertains me haha.
We made our adult beverages!!

We attempted to make these festive drinks but unfortunately Pinterest fooled us again and our colors just mixed together. Thankfully it tasted amazing!

After a few hours of fun we headed to the movies to see Despicable me 2 (which was incredibly cute and funny, just like the first one).

I took this photo because Lavio said "mom take a picture of me drinking my drink for daddy"

I decorated our fridge!

And of course I also had to decorate my nails.

We didn't make it to the fireworks this evening which i was a little bummed about. I was bummed because i really love seeing them but then i thought about it and I know next year will be even better! We came home from the movie and the boys crapped out on me. They were so tired from a their fun filled day that i don't even think the noise from the fireworks display would have woken them.
Happy Independents Day! I hope every one had a great and safe holiday.

A little break

The boys and I haven't had much fun lately with all this heat so i decided it was time to change that. Even for just a day. We started our morning out talking to daddy and the we headed to BounceU for some kid friendly fun!
This place is all indoors (Perfect for us!!) and they have multiple rooms that you are free to go into and bounce your little heart out in!

Lavio heading up the stairs with a crew of ladies following him :)

Merrick is fearless! This boy wanted to go up and down everything.

Vallin could not stop laughing. He thought the slide was "So AWESOME"

My little climber

These kids take after their father in the gaming department....sheesh!

 NBA?

I think so :)

After our bounce house fun we made a Costco run which is always eventful with three little men in tow. Then it was off to dinner!

A fellow military wife

I love how Merrick's face is in this photo, makes me look like an awesome mom! (Don't call CPS on me)

And like his daddy, Vallin also does not enjoy taking photos.

This kid always has chicken stored in his mouth. Its totally gross!

Apparently Vallin's dessert was the bomb because his face is absolutely priceless here.

It was a pretty successful day! I love watching my kids have so much fun. It makes me feel good about my self as a mom :)

Girly Camping Must Haves

I have never been camping before and my husband plans on taking me when he gets back from Afghanistan. Being the crazy obsessive planner that i am i had to go online and look for all the things i think i might need as a girly, fashionable and some what odd women who will be "roughing it" in the woods. Obviously these are things aside from the normal camping gear that you would need to bring. These are just my personal "needs".

Scented baby wipes are a MUST. If you cant shower then these bad boys will act as your bath.
Dry shampoo! the other plus side of this is your hair will smell absolutely amazing!
I wouldnt want to bring my expensive perfume camping so some light body spray would be perfect. (can you tell scent is a big deal to me?)

This BB cream hides any imperfection, moisturizes my skin, gives me that pretty glow and is also SPF 30
You can use this lip gloss on your lips but also on your cheeks to give your face a little more life.

Mascara to make your eyes pop. I don't know about you but i need mascara, i feel like my eyes are lifeless without it.

Starbucks now has flavored coffee, teas and cocoas in on the go packets. Just pour them into water, shake and voila! you get your morning pic me up.

A cute plaid shirt is a must for part of your camping apparel.

Cute plaid boots to finish off the outfit.

Also don't forget some lotion, a cute pajama set, chapstick and a hat.
HAPPY TRAILS!
