Girly Camping Must Haves

I have never been camping before and my husband plans on taking me when he gets back from Afghanistan. Being the crazy obsessive planner that i am i had to go online and look for all the things i think i might need as a girly, fashionable and some what odd women who will be "roughing it" in the woods. Obviously these are things aside from the normal camping gear that you would need to bring. These are just my personal "needs".

Scented baby wipes are a MUST. If you cant shower then these bad boys will act as your bath.
Dry shampoo! the other plus side of this is your hair will smell absolutely amazing!
I wouldnt want to bring my expensive perfume camping so some light body spray would be perfect. (can you tell scent is a big deal to me?)

This BB cream hides any imperfection, moisturizes my skin, gives me that pretty glow and is also SPF 30
You can use this lip gloss on your lips but also on your cheeks to give your face a little more life.

Mascara to make your eyes pop. I don't know about you but i need mascara, i feel like my eyes are lifeless without it.

Starbucks now has flavored coffee, teas and cocoas in on the go packets. Just pour them into water, shake and voila! you get your morning pic me up.

A cute plaid shirt is a must for part of your camping apparel.

Cute plaid boots to finish off the outfit.

Also don't forget some lotion, a cute pajama set, chapstick and a hat.
HAPPY TRAILS!

Another Month Down.....Almost

We have three days left of June! June is such a boring month, I am soooo ready for July BBQ's and kid movies (Despicable Me 2 comes out in July and so does Turbo)!
Last week i took the boys to see Monsters University. They loved it but in my book its not worth seeing unless you have kids.
It has been so hot lately (117 degrees) that we only venture outside in the mornings and at dusk, i guess you could call us vampires. We really haven't been up to anything super exciting but i know a blog isnt a blog unless you have some cute pictures to post....So here ya go!

                                                                          "pound it"
                                                                 Brotherly Love

Right before we headed out the door to see Monsters University.

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Fathers Day to all the dads but a very happy Fathers Day to my husband.
I love you babe. Here is a trip down memory lane for you :D

I met my husband at work....he was my boss. We both worked at a coffee kiosk and as some of you might know, those can be very small. So we got to know each other pretty well. I mentioned how i watched a movie called white chicks and thought it was hilarious. He told me he had never seen it and quickly added that he doesn't watch movies alone ( <---nice one babe). Then he asked me if i would like to come over and we could watch it together. That night he had made me dinner and then told me we should probably watch the movie in his bedroom because his couch wasn't as comfortable as his bed ( <--- again, Nice move babe). And that started it all folks! 7 years later and Mr. Sears is a dad to 3 very handsome little men.

I loved and still do love this movie, Patrick hates it.

A year later we got married in Hawaii

9 months later (Yes, we got pregnant on our wedding night) Patrick is helping me through a contraction

Lavio was helping daddy play Xbox
This photo was taken a couple days before Patrick left for Basic and AIT

Have a chat before Lavios birthday party got started

Patrick was sooo tired in this photo. He worked all day and then got the call that i was in labor, poor guy didnt get any sleep. Here he is though, showing me Vallin

Hands on daddy!
I love this photo of Patrick and his boys

                                                                   Patrick and his mini me
                                                                 Such a good daddy

Wacky Wednesday

We were bored today and the temperature was 108. Typically I would make a hot day like this a cave day. We would stay inside, drink frozen drinks, watch movies and do inside activities.
I found a bag of water balloons in the garage while i was cleaning it out last week and thought today was the perfect day to have a water balloon fight! It was a huge success with the boys.
At one point Lavio said "mom we have to do this when daddy gets back"!
I agree Lavio, although daddy would dominate us all with water balloons, it is a must!

                                                          Our colorful weapons of choice

And it begins
its a stand off! May the odds be ever in your favor.
Look at those ninja like moves Lavio has.

Mommy with Merrick

Lavio is such a good smoocher
All three of my boys. They are so handsome
Lavio says the weirdest things sometimes. I cant remember what he said in this photo but it must have been good.

Vallin is my boy mini me. He looks exactly like mommy, but of course in a manly way. If i was a dude, my name would be Vallin.
                                                                 Babies in a bucket!

We are moving!

Into the Emergency Room. We might as well, we seem to be there every week. Merrick has not been able to keep solids or fluids down for a full 24 hours and his fever of 102.7 also wouldn't budge. Poor guy went through two pairs of extra clothing that i brought to the hospital in the first 20 minutes or so of being there. He refused to stop puking. Thankfully they were able to work their magic and we have been puke free for an hour, fingers are crossed.

Its things like this that make me miss Patrick even more. But since he isn't here I will just calm my nerves the only way I know how- Alcohol and Italian food.

Loving your self

I have struggled with being comfortable to be alone on this deployment. Needing to learn that its okay if it is just me and the kids, to be happy with just me. When my husband was home I spent every evening with him. He is my only friend. I realized during this deployment that having the wrong friends/family in your life is poisonous. At least it is for me. It really takes a hold of me mentally and causes me to become such a negative person and i absolutely do NOT want to be that person, EVER. I have done a pretty good job the last few weeks in letting people go. I really think that for me, it was the first thing i had to do to become comfortable with just me.

1. I am starting to realize that comfort comes with age. I don't need to be the most liked or the funnest person at the get together's.
2. I need to pamper myself. whether that be a regular massage, manicure, pedicure, hair cut, shopping trip, workout, bubble bath, good book or just some alone time. It is much needed and it makes me feel prettier.
3. Setting goals and working towards them i have learned is one of my strengths as a person. Finding your strengths is extremely uplifting. I know i tend to focus on negative things when my life is in a negative place.
4.Comedy! I need comedy. It puts me in a better mood instantly.

Deployments suck! they feel never ending at times but then i look back and think "Wow, we already have 6 months that have come and gone". Talking to my husband daily (i know that it is not always the case for some) has helped me put a lot into perspective. We plan our future lives out together, making goals and sticking to them. What i';m hoping to get from this deployment is a better sense of love for myself, because i'm frickin awesome!

We both look like RE RE's here but I love this picture.

Fathers Day Care Package

I tried to put together a care package with the theme of "pampered". I know my husband doesn't get much pampering while he is away so this was a fun package for the boys and I to do.

This is his decorated box full of goodies

Did you know Bath and Body Works has a line just for men? I had no idea and was extremely excited to send him a few of my favorite scents. I LOVE how Patrick smells when he puts on good lotion, cologne or body wash. I seriously just bury my head in his chest all day!

These Hot Snapz are AMAZING. They have a little meddle disk that you snap and it turns the liquid into hard, almost salt consistency that heats to extreme temperatures. When your done using them just place them in boiling water and they go right back to liquid form. This is perfect for Patrick since his feet, back and neck are killing him.

Patrick and I both enjoy the show How I Met Your Mother and when i found this book, The Bro Code For Parents, I know I had to get it. It is hilarious by the way!

I found this bracelet on Etsy, Its a leather wrap bracelet with our kids names engraved on it.

Lavio cut and glued each piece to the paper, he was so proud of himself and was excited to give it to his daddy. If you notice in the bottom right corner his hand writing is also getting a lot better.

I also included a little love note from myself and a USB flash drive full of movies and music for him to enjoy. I really hope this care package was just what he was needing to feel loved and cared for on fathers day.

Let the good times roll

My friend Jenn came to visit us from Tucson today. We always have such a good time with her that I secretly wish i could just keep her here until Patrick gets home. She makes me less sad and my heart a little more full :)
The boys LOVE her! and she is always bringing goodies over for them. Before Patrick left, her and our friend  Rachel went out, got glass jars, stickers and candy. They both filled them up and decorated them for each boy so they could have a countdown for when daddy returns. She brought them each a build-a-bear to snuggle with at night and this time she brought a helmet. Not just any helmet, but a super cool one (Lavio's words).
We had lunch together, watched some movies, ate dinner and then went outside to play with the boys.
